Anne Postic (Bretagne)
For fifteen years, it has been between Anne and the celtic harp a passion that never failed. The celtic harp is for her an instrument proper which allows to play different styles of music, even if she nowadays prefers folk music from the various Celtic countries, and in particular that of her native country, Brittany. Her musical studies at the National Music School of Quimper in Dominig Bouchaud’s class led her in May 2003 to the Musical Studies Degree in Traditional Music. Anne never stopped perfectionning her playing during classes and meetings with well-known harpists, either in Brittany or abroad. Now 22, she has already obtained high accolades among which the first prize of lever harp at the «Kan ar Bobl» competition in Brittany in 1999, the first prize in the «Honour» category at the UFAM competition in Paris in 2000, or, more recently, in May 2004, in Nantes, the second prize at the «Jakez-François» International Lever Harp Competition. Anne teaches in numerous classes and regularly performs in solo, in duo or in bands, in Brittany, in France or abroad. In 2005, she was one of the artists invited at the famous Edinburgh International Harp Festival. Thanks to her dynamic harping, the young musician brings a very personal touch to Breton music, seeking to have her passion for her instrument and for the music of her country shared.
